Kiseki Kasumigaoka (霞ヶ丘 奇跡 Kasumigaoka Kiseki?)—born Célestine Avaline Kasumigaoka (セレスチナ・アヴァリン・霞ヶ丘 Seresuchina Avarin Kasumigaoka?)—is the main protagonist of My Hero Academia: Blood Rose Tempest, a planned longform fanfiction envisioned by User:NejiHyuga2. She—alongside Izuku Midoriya and Shouko Todoroki—serve as the three point-of-view (POV) characters of the aforementioned narrative.

A child of France born to a consul of Japan to France and a French actress, model, and fashion icon, Célestine was raised in a loving family and upon the discovery of her Quirkone that had never been seen before—it was understood that Célestine was to become a truly great person in the future. However, this wouldn't necessarily come to pass as through a series of heartbreaking events, Célestine was both orphaned and subject to a living hell by the one who consumes. Upon being rescued by a passing All Might, she was taken to Japan and raised under his protection where she would take on the name of Kiseki Kasumigaoka and found to be exceedingly intelligent to the point that she was recommended for enrollment into the prestigious U.A. High School nearly a full two years before she would normally be allowed to attend. She was placed under the tutelage of Shouta Aizawa and is a member of Class 1-A where she is training to become a Pro Hero—her designated hero name being Miss Inari: Crystal Fox Hero (ミス稲荷 (晶狐英雄) Misu Inari (Shōko Eiyū) ?).

Profile[]

Background[]

Célestine Avaline Kasumigaoka is the second child of a consul of Japan to France, Yoshihide Kasumigaoka and his wife, Joséphine Kasumigaoka. Her father's family is one of Japan's richest families alongside being one of Japan's superlative bloodlines in producing members of the family possessing high-quality Quirks; as a result, this would carry over to Célestine who would soon develop her personal Quirk at age four. Célestine was born in the city of Lyon as her father had fallen in love with Mahiru and married her while he was acting as consul. Rather unfortunately, Célestine would spend most of her early childhood being raised by her highly responsible older brother seven years her senior Laurent Setton Kasumigaoka as her parents' consul duties kept them away from the mansion far too often. For the young Célestine, her brother Laurent was like a second father to her and all of the live-in handmaidens of the Kasumigaoka residence were her second mothers. Upon turning six, Célestine began her primary education, which was taken care of by the highly prestigious Saint Jeanne d'Arc Institute for the Fine Arts, one of several French hero training institutions; her older brother also attends this institution although Laurent being seven years older places him in the junior high cohort. Célestine idolizes her brother for his model behavior and his personal Quirk, a creation-type Quirk not dissimilar to that of Momo Yaoyorozu's, one of Célestine's future classmates. During her time in Saint Jeanne d'Arc's, she would develop her Quirk, which allowed her to transmute any type of crystalline structure from her entire body although it was most effective when used through her hands and feet.[citation needed]

Laurent would not be by Célestine's side for long as he would eventually transfer to Escalibor Academy, France's most prestigious hero training institution, two years later. Not to be outdone, Célestine followed her brother, transferring into Escalibor upon turning twelve. To celebrate this achievement, Célestine took an extended vacation with her parents for the first time in many years as while her parents regularly visited her, they could rarely give her more than two weeks' of attention; this time, her parents were forced to take an extended leave by their colleagues which they spent with their children in France's capital of Paris. On 14 April just three days into their vacation, the League of Villains launched a coordinated operation in the middle of the city as twilight fell with the intention of murdering Yoshihide, Joséphine, and Laurent, as three possessors of immensely powerful Quirks; the League had no information on the young Célestine who was forced to watch as the villains gruesomely ended her family's lives. Célestine cannot clearly remember what happened next but according to All Might who had just so happened to be visiting France alongside U.A. High School's principal, she had summoned crystal columns of such staggering heights and weights that they easily outcrested the Eiffel Tower. What was truly mysterious was how the young girl had gained a pair of vulpine ears and a tail yet Célestine could not give any clues as to how she obtained them.[citation needed]

Deciding that it would be best that they take her into their protective custody, All Might contacted Célestine's surviving relatives, getting their permission to raise the girl as his own daughter. Upon entering Japan, Célestine took on the name of 'Kiseki Kasumigaoka;' All Might hoped that the character used to write her new name—which carries the meaning of "miracle"—would keep the young broken girl safe. Under All Might's care, Kiseki would begin healing and at the same time, Japan's hero society would soon learn that All Might's adoptive daughter was a true monster in a league of her own. At the urging of U.A. High School's principal, All Might enrolled Kiseki there in the hopes that she she could form new long-lasting bonds with the students there to facilitate in her healing process.[citation needed]

Personality[]

When she still called herself Célestine, Kiseki was best described to be an incredibly cheery girl who was much too kind for her own good. It was of such extremes that she could not bring herself to kill a fly. This led to many people trying to take advantage of her but thanks to her older brother's guardianship and the few true friends she made, this would never come to pass. Célestine is also immensely studious as she would consistently place in the top three yet she is also quite frivolous and mischievous as she would often play harmless pranks on her friends. However, Célestine would always come to her friends' defense if something goes wrong. This would quickly become apparent upon her first manifesting her Quirk as she would selflessly try to help her friends by using her powers. TBA

Appearance[]

Upon her first introduction, Kiseki is a fourteen-year-old girl of average stature and budding feminine wiles. While a student of Escalibor Academy two years prior, Kiseki was constantly complimented for her beauty as her soft brown hair and violet eyes truly catch one's attention. Upon being bestowed the Kitsune Physiology Quirk, Kiseki would begin an inhuman transformation that would permanently alter her appearance, gaining a single vulpine tail and a pair of vulpine ears which replace her human ears. As she grows stronger, she gains more tails and—as of the Dark Hero Arc—has manifested all nine tails of the mythical creature from whom she is borrowing her abilities from. Kiseki is able to retract her tails so that they stay out of the way but she cannot do the same with her ears so she often elects to hide them under a comically massive witch's hat. TBA

Quirk[]

Crystallokinesis[]

Crystallokinesis (鉱石操り Kōseki Ayatsuri?): Kiseki's Quirk gives her crystallokinesis which allows her to create and manipulate crystals and crystalline materials. She can immediately crystallize anything she touches, allowing her to, like Shoto Todoroki, create large waves of crystals. Until taken to her bodily limit, the Quirk has no adverse effects on her body.

Kitsune Physiology[]

Kitsune Physiology (狐生理機能 Kitsune Seirikinō?): Kiseki obtained this Quirk from All For One, the latter hoping that the extra power would nudge Kiseki into the direction of villainy. This Quirk gives her the body and abilities of a fox spirit, which ranges from kitsunebi, shapeshifting, dream manipulation, illusion manipulation, among other things, making the Quirk one of the highly versatile Quirks.
